Its mounted solid to the bar, but I'd be more worried about the plastic clip that attaches to the gps itself. I have the same one and know its only the little plastic fingers clicking into the dimples on the sides. The wind is pushing on the back of the gps pretty hard at higher speeds. At least its tethered by the power wire.
Great machining work though.
