OK, just talked to the due and I had it all wrong (sorry guys!). It's the other end of the cable. He said it seems to be missing the piece that goes into the speedo drive at the wheel. In other words the black L is there but there is a piece that should protrude out of that, that then inserts into the drive and that is what appears to be missing. Can these come off of the cable and get lost?
