I've been looking for a brass fuel (gas) cap for a while and came across this one:

http://www.custom-motorcycle-parts.com/p...or-stock-tanks/

Does anyone know if this will fit our bikes? Alternatively, anyone know of a brass cap that will?

Thanks in advance

If it's a direct fit to that Sporty tank, I do not believe it's a direct fit to our tanks. If you take a look at your stock cap, notice that the plastic male threads are removable, so maybe it can be adapted by switching things around? All it takes is money to find out.

If that cap will fit 83 and later XL,FXR,Dyna,Softail, or Road King with RH threads it will fit our tank thread. Not sure of later Triumphs since it seemed a while back that the treads in Triumph tanks were changed slightly. The caps will still work but may need some tweeking.
