Dang Ryk, I never knew you were so freakishly smart.

He's from the North.

The July 2013 (issue #58) of Rodz magazine (www.olskoolrodz.com) has a GREAT article titled "Product Evaluation: Broken Bolt Extractors".

They evaluated virtually EVERY type of extractor marketed, and as I already knew, DO NOT use the imported, cheap reverse spiral tapered extractors, or left-handed drill bits. They ONLY work when it's JUST A LITTLE too hard to grip the broken bit/bolt/screw.

"For small screws, the Micro-Grabits are the best choice."

"For larger bolts, ...the old standby Irwin Reverse Spiral, Pro Reverse Spiral, Reverse Serrated, and Drill-Outs all performed satisfactorily... Out of them, I'd rate the Drill-Outs top dog."

"For big stuff, try a common tool in the plumbing industry called an internal pipe wrench will work great."
