okay, so i drilled and tapped my bar weights for some mirrors. well... one, successfully. broke a tap off in the other.
can't drill it out, too small. i tried heating them up and beating them further into the bar with no joy. this would have been ideal. tap extractor was a peice of junk and bent. don't spend the twelve bucks on those, and especially don't get expedited shipping on it either. and the weight itself is too hard to drill into to make a jack screw to pull it out (which would also require another, though larger and more robust, risky tapping maneuver).
now i'm super grumpy about it. any suggestions?
