Thanks. I'm definetly going to be adjusting my valves this weekend. I know that that needs to be done so I'll start there. The stealership quoted me $350 to do it so i'll be tackling this myself. I'm fairly mechanically inclined I do all my own oil changes on the bike and truck as well as brake jobs, alternators, waterpumps and the like.I have the Haynes manual and read over the valve adjustment part a dozen times or so in the 4 years I've had the bike.Dang procrastination. I will also check the vaccum caps if one would point me in the right direction. This bike is my baby and that sound is giving me a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I've logged nearly 24,000 miles on it and I know this is not what it is supposed to sound like.
