When I bought my 2007 America, it had the Triumph optional touring seat that my daughter (and frequent pillion) declared it "Squishy and Delightful". I have ridden 500 mile days on the seat but since getting the big touring Yamaha have come to love a backrest. Knowing that no aftermarket backrests fit with that seat, I was within minutes of pulling the trigger on a $600+ purchase for a new seat, when I decided to send FastEddy an email to check one more time. Behold, the new Pro-tac that Eddy has commissioned for the Speedmaster with gunfighter seat fits the America with the touring seat. So far on short rides I am very happy, will have to queue up a long ride to check it out.
