I have one and whereas it's not as effective as a windshield and lowers, it does a good job at deflecting the the wind over my head and around my body. What I appreciate the most is that crosswinds and semi truck turbulence is way less of an issue than with a wind screen.
I bought a National Cycle Flyscreen from Bike Bandit years ago, and it was a keeper from the time I put it on, for said reasons. National made the Flyscreens for Triumph, so I saved a buck or two.
I bought it for the look/appearance, but I tell you I respect it for it's effectiveness - it really takes the wind blast off your chest and arms, and I have had no wind buffeting issues wearing my full-face Shoei. Wind noise, maybe, but not buffeting. Cross winds, and semi trucks are not a concern, as the shield is not big enough to catch the side blast.
It works real well, for me.
