...the Post Office is also profitable. That's a manufactured 'crisis'. Congress passed the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 mandating that the USPS had to pre-fund its retirement benefits and retiree health care benefits...get this...75 YEARS IN ADVANCE(!!!) and they had to come up with ALL that funding in TEN YEARS!

The amazing thing is, they can almost do it. Occasionally, a bill will be brought up to do away with THAT absurd policy but it always gets filibustered. If only the Dems had the cajones to filibuster it in the first place but they didn't and, probably, never will as they are spineless.

Because...just imagine how much private shippers would LOVE to get their hands on THAT money so they pay people to say that the USPS is using tax dollars (It's not and, by law, it can't. They just can't meet the pre-funding demands.). Of course, all the money put away for those 75 years of benefits would disappear before any retirees ever saw it.
