Well, I work in medicine and Medicare is, by light years, the most efficient form of health insurance in this country. It has a 2.8% overhead. Before the Affordable Care Act mandated "only" a 20% overhead, insurance companies averaged over 30%.
Everybody hates their insurance except Medicare recipients. If we had Medicare for all it would eliminate the health care 'crisis'. The money is already being spent, it just goes to billion dollar salaries.
why is medicare broke money wise that is. The talking heads claims its bankrupt and they are always wanting to cut benefits?
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
