Hey Guys,
I just spoke with Dianne, Big Jacks wife as a follow up to a call I had to Jack last the weekend. I asked permission to share with you and update on Big Jack and his battle.
Thursday they found out that the cancer has come back with a vengeance and with additional chemo he may get 3-6 moths. I spoke with Jack Saturday or Sunday and again on Monday and could tell he was really worn down.
I called to check up on him today and Dianne told me he has rapidly gone down hill in the past day and a half and is not responding much at all. She fears his time is short. Please lift our brother up in your thoughts and prayers as well as Dianne who as you can imagine, fears for him going, yet knows that it is likely going to happen soon.
I asked Dianne for permission to share this with you and she said yes, knowing full well how much you all mean to him and how much your support has meant to them during this difficult walk he has been on.
I will keep you up to date as much as possible, and only with Dianne's permission.

Thanks for the info, Big Jack is a great guy, he and his wife will be in my prayers.

I was just thinking of Jack yesterday and was wondering how he was doing. I'm very sad to hear it's not well.

Thanks Eddy. You're a good man for caring so much for him to keep us all posted. Jack is a good guy, and his wife is a nice lady, they deserve all the positive vibes we can send, and then some!

I have not had much contact with him but still wish him well and hope things turn around for him. It's never over until it's over.

Ive had 3 people in my small circle of close friends fight this battle , 2 have won or are beating it. Positive thoughts to you Jack and to your family .

I want to tell you all this truth, whenever Jack and I talk which is usually weekly unless he has been weak from Chemo he always talks about the folks on the "Boards" and the real encouragement and strength he feels and gets from the PM and posts in here and on Thunderbird 16K. No BS.
As screwy as it seems the brotherhood on this internet site really transcends what it "should be" No one feels like strangers here and we feel it when one of us struggles or hurts. I can speak to this as well as others who have been the recipient of kind posts when we have been in dark places that life dolls our way. Maybe were all crazy, but I'll take you crazies any day of the week.
In Jacks heart you have helped him fight a good fight and he continues to fight, make no mistake of it. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

Called Dianne a few minutes ago for an update. I told her about your posts, she said she would tell Jack in the morning as this seems to be the best time of day for him. Said he is going down hill fast. They now have a hospital bed in the home for him, their son his staying with them since last weekend helping Dianne. I wish I had better news.
