I run one hsr42 and only have to maintenance it every now and then. Not bad for a tinkerers toy. I prefer the carb bikes as mentioned before the tanks are better looking. But there are lots of plusses; worse fuel mileage, those little stock carbs restrict the bike so much that it only presents half of the full potential, in other words lots of room for mad scientist fun, those cooky airboxes are a bodgers dream, oh the hacking, cutting, and modifying the leave room for. I love these bikes you buy them then completely change them. Its like being addicted to paint fumes, greasy hands, gasoline, and grinder shavings.
