Wife finally gave the thumbs up to me getting my first motorcycle. I know I want an America, so visited a local dealer to check one out. Met a very nice salesman, had he no problem spending some time with me answering questions and giving good advise.
The question of price came up, and he told me that they get about another $1,000 on top of MSRP for "setup" and fees. I've been in the car business for over 25 years, so this sounded a little odd to me.
Is this standard practice for a Triumph dealer? Or is he just looking for a reaction (and hoping for the best) and the negotiations start from there?
