1 3/4" fishtails will slip on our headers some are muffled, some are baffled but most straight fishtails are not baffled. I like them too but could never find them long enough for me.

thanks dog33. I would like them to come back to at least the center of the rear wheel. end of the rear tire would also be nice. Perhaps a straight through would be too loud. I'd like to see an america and hear it with fishtails.
thanks.

I have ridden Dean's, that sucker is loud. No baffles, straight as an arrow.
Ride like you mean it.

That one with the wrap around fender is not Dean's, sorry, it is just one of the random bikes I've found around the net. I'm always looking for inspiration.

Soren's are also straight through, but he has them packed to make them slightly, mellower.

The fishtails on my bike are 36" long fishtails meant for a Harley that I bought from www.debrix.com. Luckily you can fit Harley pipes on a BA. Whoo! I also have a header extension that I got on ebay that adds about another foot to the exhaust pipes so they end right by the rear tire. Soren has the same extender. Check out his page to see the difference with and without the extender. I have a 12" baffle in each of my fishtails, and it's not really to queit it down. The straight fishtails sound really hollow in my opinion, which is why I added the baffle. They're still loud as hell, and they sound great. If you're thinking of going fishtail. I only have one piece of advice fo you. Do it! They sound amazing, and you will never cease to get compliments on how awesome your bike looks. I get pulled over at least once a year because the cop wants to check out my Triumph.

Packed mine with a few bricks of 000 steel wool. It mellows them down a bit and deadens of the pinging sound that you get around 4500 rpm.

Did you install your baffles in the extension or the back end of the pipe?

Absolutely, they are awesome. I got pulled over once in Idaho because of the pipes, I'll have to dig out the pic.

Go to jpcycles.com and type the word FISHTAIL in the search box. I bet most of the ones you see will work.
