Here's a pic of my 2012 Speedmaster with new old school mufflers. What do you think? [image]http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u646/bbarnier/parts%20for%20sale/IMG_1155_zps0b7f9ce7.jpg:original[/image]

Yep, when it comes to Britbikes, these are the mufflers I most associate with 'em, along with your added touch of those gaiters on the forks.

(...good choices all around, William...your bike looks great!)

In MY day, ALL bikes CAME with gaiters, and the "hipsters" removed them.

YEAH?! Is that RIGHT, erle?!

Well then, please explain this picture of THIS "Hipster's" Triumph then, if ya would!!!

(...hey, don't blame ME...YOU brought up Mr.Zimmerman here, dude!!!)

Though you DO have a point here, as by the early '70s the gaiter look HAD become somewhat passé, and by '71 all Triumphs and BSAs came without 'em, and with the "Ceriani look" becoming very popular. Though of course, that was ALSO the time when many people thought the Trumpets and Beezers started getting away from their classic Britbike look, ya know.

Not really into the pea shooters, I think they're better suited for the retro bikes imo. But the important thing is that YOU like them! That's all that really matters. Nice bike by the way!

THAT picture was taken when he JUST bought the bike.

There's ANOTHER pic.of him on the bike sans the gaiters, and with a beautiful woman on back. (Joan Baez?)

(I think removing the gaiters landed the woman)
