Hey Chad, I believe Jackson Brown was "Our Parents" music.

..."The Jackson Brown" is one of those 70s generic bands...
No.
Maybe "The Jackson Five" were.
I never knew a band called "The Jackson Brown".
The link to Urban Dictionary was a fluke, searching for items from Tom Green. (Another '70's band. ), I thought we ALL would find it funny, especially you.
And NO! I don't care for Jackson Brown, either. (But, I guess he's got a place.)
Peace!

I actually like Jackson Brown. I just like Erle's response. Found it hilarious, and wanted to see if there was more comedic release to be squeezed out of it.
Nope.

So, I take it you've never heard Motorhead's rendition of "That's Amore", eh Chad?!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Just reading thru the bull you guys throw around just cracks me up. The DSL modem @ my place went belly up about a week ago....still wait g for the replacement. That said, great to be back albeit somewhat limited by my phones capabilities. In them meantime I've been out helmet shopping and must tried on dozens of modular & full face lids. Finally settled on The BILT. Techno Bluetooth DWO-3 @ cycle gear ..... List was $320.00 & I ponied up only $159.00 plus tax. I gotta say I really like this lid & it's features: integral Bluetooth set up... Now I have music, turn-by-turn GPS nav, phone & rider-2-rider comm (up to 600 m). The visibility in this full face is great & it also has a spring loaded return, dark visor ( that could be darker in my book). Ventilation is adequate to, but as with any full face the visor does tend to fog a bit @stops but I can live with it. The only real issue I have is that with the cheek pads installed I can't move my jaw at all. Took the screen off Black Beauty just to see how aerodynamic this lid was in the wind stream @ highway speeds & was very surprised I felt little to no buffeting. Put the screen back on the scoot and felt ZERO buffeting! In all, I am well pleased with my choice. My thanks to all of ya on your input, suggestions and comic relief!

Well, after much shopping and trying on different helmets I got a great deal @ Cycle Gear on this BILT Techno Bluetooth WM-DO3 Full Face listed for $320.00 on sale for $159.00.... features built-in bluetooth headset w/up to 600m comm link with up to 3 riders. The bluetooth to my Iphone set-up was easy & really like the music/turn by turn GPS functionality the it provides. It also features a dropdown/spring return sun shade internal visor (that could be a tad darker) & chin skirt for cooler weather, 2 top vents, and one large vent on the chin make for good ventelation too!

Just purchased the Italian made Nolan N90 Of course it's raining like hell for the next 4 days so I've not road tested it just yet. Looks to be very well built, lot's of attention to details and feels good. Where is the sun!

NS Mike, kinda been wondering that myself. It's snowing in my neck o the woods as I am typing this & with 2 weeks to go before my epic SW/Cali Coast ride. I'm all geared up (speaking both intrinsically & materialy...equipment wise), ready to go & I'm wondering WHEN Spring will at last arrive! Not looking forward to the possibility of riding 450 avg miles per day into cold, wet, slab.....

+1 on the Icon Airframe. I bought one after my Simpson was totaled out in a crash. The first thing that hit the ground was my face. Used to be a half helmet guy most of the time, and I still wear the half helmet occasionally. The airframe's the best helmet I've ever owned: good air flow, doesn't fog, doesn't parachute, chin curtain and aerodynamic.

Ed, The Nolan is a nice helmet. I'm a bit surprised at the wind noise, more that expected. Struggling a bit with the Microlock chin strap. It's a great concept but has a tendency to bite at the neck area. Nolan sell's a cover for this, utilized on the N20. I may look into that. Otherwise I would rate the helmet an 8.5 out of 10.

I went with the Nolan N90 also. I tried the N43 but it just didn't fit me right. Nor the Scorpion EXO-900 - I had an opportunity to pick one of those up for about $130, but the large was too tight, XL too loose. HJC's IS-MAX fit, but reviews said it wasn't vented as well as others. That left the Bell Revolver & the N90. With Revzilla's good return policy & great price I decided I had to try the Nolan.
It came today, fits great, wide view, looks great. First use will be the morning commute (unless my daughter talks me into a dessert run to celebrate having taken the GRE).

I got my Nolan N43. It is awesome, all the vision of a 3/4 helmet with a nice chin bar. It's a lot noisier than my Sparx S-07, but I love having peripheral vision.

I never noticed it was noisier but that could be because my other helmets were really noisy or always wearing earplugs.

I wear a Bell 500 Custom open face all year round. For eye protection to go over my specs I wear Airfoil goggles which are designed to go over specs.
