Keith, I know you are right when you say try them first. man I've been looking but helmets stores in my area are a joke. Most bike dealers have limited or older models. Cycle Gear has the $600 Shoei and the $69 Bilts, that's about it.
Looking in the 200-300 range. I love my HJC Symax but I'm hesitant to order any helmet online. Although I did buy the HJC years ago online. The Nolan n104 looks appealing, again I've not tried it.
