Chad might have something here. Bring the case to a good aluminum welder and see what the options might be. It's not like the hole for the starter idler has to be perfect.
What year of bike do you have? There was extended warranty given to a few fellows here who had this problem. Doesn't hurt to take a couple of pics and send them to Triumph for "Good Will Warranty" consideration. Worked before.
