Has there been any discussion of the Rocket Land Speed Assault Vehicle and I missed it? Or is this something brand new and way cool? http://www.hotrodconspiracy.com/rocket.htmlI just back from a road trip and found a two page advert with no explanation in the current issue of Motorcycle Classics. And then I followed the URL to this cryptic web ad...

No Ed, I don't think anyone as of yet has mentioned this around here, though I also noticed that ad a few weeks back when I received my latest edition of Motorcycle Classics in the mail and at the time thought about starting a thread like this one about this proposed venture by Triumph to get back the two-wheeled land speed record. Sounds pretty cool, doesn't it!

The magazine ad looks wicked fast and a little mysterious. A Rocket powered streamliner would be world class, wouldn't it?

I totally missed that. Home is the magazine ad, and here I see Disalvo on the cockpit...is that Jason Disalvo the racer?

A rocket has already posted a record on the salt , by that same sponsor so this is very interesting indeed. First a Daytona comes in second in daytona then we find out were running the dirt oval a rocket has been run on salt and now this WOW awsome that Triumph is back in the race world and doing well.
