It sort of 'browns out' after 7-8 months.
Then you just respray. I think I would do this even if I had a new exhaust.
Oh, BTW, when you take off the exhaust to wrap/paint, it's a great
opportunity to block off the crossover tube w/a freeze plug.
It makes the exhaust sound a deeper tone, not really louder. (the 16" shorties take care of that)
