OK, got busy with the wrap today. Had gotten a 50' roll of graphite black wrap & an 8 pack of 8” stainless locking ties. Unrolled it, cut it in half and dropped all of it in a bucket of water. Went & checked the mailbox, ugh only bills. Poured out the dark water and rinsed the wrap again, and again, and again... Started on the bottom flat section of the header just in front of the crossover pipe. The 8” ties are just long enough, wish they were 2mm longer!
Here's what I wound up with.
Went for a ride to dry/cure the wrap. Did not have any smoke or smell at first. After a short warm up I hit the road. Started to smell the wrap after ~5 mins. Noticeable after 10 mins. Stopped for a phone call and did see some smoke rising from the wrap. Quit soon after and never saw any more. Still has a slight smell but not bad & seems to be fading fast.
Chuck if you wrap yours DO wear gloves & long sleeves, DO wear eye protection and take your time.
