Wow - I just read that initial rant for the first time. Personally - and maybe it's just me - uh, don't we all ride? I have been exposed recently to a few really nice Harleys; they aren't the fastest, bikes, but they're pretty ****** reliable nowadays, and they have style, like it or not. Why else would all the Jap bikes make Harley clones? I have to hand it to Triumph for at least making a cruiser that has its own identity, but I can't bash Harley - they're making what works and what sells.
Hey, I wouldn't trade my America for anything, but I can't dis Harley. If you hate their image, blame all the middle-aged yuppies to identify with them.
