I used to live in Florida, actually not far off of 98. I'd stay on cloverleafs for 10 minutes just to make sure the bike would still lean. Santa Rosa County was nice.
In all fairness, Colorado wasn't all that great, either. East of Denver is worse than Florida. Flat as a board and little vegetation. West of Denver there are very few roads cut through the Rockies and lots of cars on them. Once you get to the high plains it's better but, if you live in or around Denver, it isn't very good.
I've lived in at least a dozen states (damned Marshall's Service). I found Florida to have decent winter weather and straight, flat roads. Didn't like the summers at all.
