Well erle, in regard to this idea o' yours that the Prescott and Sedona areas are "flat"...well, as that famous ol' Chinese philosopher is noted for sayin' about what a picture is worth, tell ya what!
Go to Google Maps and type in the directions of: Wilhoit AZ to Prescott AZ. And then, Prescott AZ to Jerome AZ to Sedona AZ.
And THEN after you see how "straight" AZ Hwys 89 and 89A are over much of that route, you report back to me, okay?!
AND, while you're perusin' over THAT, keep in mind that much of this route goes through the Prescott National FOREST, one of the largest Ponderosa Pines FORESTS in the country. And so, so much for all that "brown and dry" kinda talk TOO, ol' buddy!
