Is there some kind of magical way to remove the regulator on my 08 TBA that I am not aware of? The wires run between the transmission case and the frame and the plug doesn't fit between them. Seems as though the regulator cable was run befor the engine was hung. Is my only choice to cut the wires?

That wouldn't even do it. I would have to drop the motor out.......crazy.

Is the regulator bad? If so, who cares, cut that b¡tch! Then re-route it in a way you deem best.

I'm pretty sure I got mine out intact by removing the battery and battery holder. The wires came out the side. But my memory may be playing tricks.

The regulator is good....I'm doing a complete re-wire job. I ended up de-pinning the connector. Bad design for sure. They should have ran the stock cable up the back of the frame instead of the front side.
