Hey guys, I'm getting a .6 ohm reading across the + and - posts on both coils but no continuity or ohm reading across the - and output wires.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or are both coils fried?

What scale do you have your ohmmeter on or does it automatically adjust for different resistance ranges? .6 ohms on the primary side is normal. The secondary side should be several thousand ohms. Secondary winding readings should be taken from the - to the output or case to the output. Unlikely both are defective.

Last year after the Midwest rally the left side coil on my BA toasted..... Gregger commented on my post @ the time..."You should at least get 15,000 ohms (across the secondary). Primary will only show about 1 ohm ".......

As things turned out for me I only got 0 (zero = infinite resistance) readings across both Primary & Secondary on the bad coil, hence the coil had an internal open condition. I replaced both coils with nology pro-fires. End of problem.
