Yep, that picture in the mag. clearly shows the Triple front-end. A 1200cc Bonnie would be something that I don't want to spend too much time considering.

I am thinking a Thruxton replacement. Why would they keep both?

Ryan, if you're talkin' about why Triumph might wish to keep the 865cc version of the Bonnie line and then also introduce a larger, say, 1000-1200cc version of the air-cooled(hopefully) parallel twin, then I think the primary reason they would or might do that would be......to have or keep a "Beginner Line" of motorcycles in their inventory.

Yeah, THAT'S right, I said "Beginner Line" here, folks...SORRY! Because any motorcycle which makes less than 60BHP at the rear wheel in stock form would or should never overpower most riders new to the sport. YEP, sorry, but face facts here folks. Our machines, and in fact all of the present Bonneville lineup, can be and often are purchased by Newbies and/or those out there with a lot less saddle time than you and I and most of us here have under our belts.

(...and now you can all grab your pitchforks and torches and head over to Sedona and hang me in effigy in front of my house for sayin' such a "blasphemous" thing!!!)

(...THOUGH, if you can WAIT to do that until May 31st of this year, you could partake of the Southwest Triumph Fest at the very same time!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
