I put and HID on my 06 America and it made a world of difference. I ride to work every day and most of the time leave late after dark. I had the HID on another bike I owned and put it on this one. I purchased the 6000 bulb and it is white in color. You must adjust your headlight to the correct height or you will get pulled over. I wouldn't leave home without one on my bike. I live in Rehoboth, MA with many back roads and is very dark. They do use lower wattage when running but use more when they startup. Put it on a relay so won't be trying to start while the engine is starting.
