Me and my dog (Maluay), over in Thailand. He's a real mutt, but a smart one. I think it's the part-Akita in him.

And here he is chilling at our house construction project over in Thailand. We've got a bamboo hut set up as a place to relax in the shade. He loves to put his paws in the ice water.

They are blue eyed. And yes, Fenris is a mythological wolf.
That picture was taken after a skateboard run (hence the halters); it's the only way to tire them out!

Have a harness that I rig up to our male staffy bull terrier in the winter. Climb on the push-bike and no peddling required. He is off and as you say Cyn the best way to wear them out. Also a real adventure as the odd cat runs out to make it real interesting so you can be towed into some precarious situations!!!!!!!!! :Also the odd dog will rush off a property and attack him so you have two scrapping dogs and the push bike to contend with!

Hard to tell from the pic but Porkchop is twice the size of Kizmitt but are best buddies and play together constantly. To the point of being annoying. He bathes her too. Peanut is standing on my trailer. Porkchop barks at strangers and bounces off the front door he also weighs 110lbs.

Usually, when they get running they are very single minded in a straight track. With a skateboard I can easily jump off (into a dead run, mind you) if I have to gain control!

I won't do it anymore on rollerblades.

This was my pup Sadi, I got her when she was 8 weeks old in 1998, I had make the hardest decision in November of 2011 She was such a good dog.

But, there is always room in my house for a dog, so in December of '11, I rescued Dixie here at 7 months old

She is my hiking buddy too

and a general goofball

The one on the right was mine, he's still a pup here. As in I had to go and look to see if he had been 'done'. He hadn't, they just hadn't dropped yet.
The one on the left was my parents.

Sadly, neither of them are with us anymore

Me. too. One of my renters has a huge shepherd. The first time I met her she was barking but showing no signs of aggression. My renter was completely floored when I just started wrestling with her. She's been my little furry friend ever since.

Soooo, my wife started volunteering at the Humane Society yesterday. She's been looking at the dogs online for a while. She wanted to show me the new shelter (very nice place). I said 'OK, but we're NOT getting another dog'. I'm just going to see the facility.

So, naturally, we have a new puppy. The HDIC (head dog in charge) Smokey (yeah, like my screen name and two LLC's, Smokey Properties and Smokey Homes with a third, Brown Dog Properties, LLC, owned by my son. He has a great mind for business) has been a real champ about the whole thing. He's handled it much better than I expected.

I'll post some pics of both of them, Smokey and Roxie, as soon as my head stops spinning.

All mine are rescue dogs. When I brought Kizmitt home the next day she was very sick. Turned out she had pneumonia, when I called the shelter to let them know they asked right away if I wanted to return her. I am not that kind of person and never even thought of that until they asked but never entertained the action. I nursed her back to health, the vet said she could die when I took her there. She wouldn't eat anything except macaroni and cheese if I hand fed it to her.She is as healthy as can be now but unfortunately she and Peanut are getting old now and grey. I dread that inevitable day as with any dog. I am always devastated as they are like children to me.Porkchop is only about 3.

If Kizmitt had died it wouldn't have been in a cage and I would have considered that money well spent. When I adopted her I didn't mean to. I had lost a dog and just went to visit and ease my pain. I saw Kizmitt (Breeze then) I said hello to her but then moved on, she was in a small side room in a cage. I was playing with a different dog when Kizmitt broke out of her cage and got out of that side room and came out and sat down right next to me. They asked me if I wanted to walk her so I agreed but I had already decided she was coming home with me and hence her name.

Ian, I know I can't leave a shelter empty handed. I bet you've noticed that rescue dogs know that they have been rescued and seem to be all the more attached to you for it.
