My mom lived in Cincinati for several years as a kid. My grandfather was head of some day school there I think...

Well Chris, Considering that THAT State's(which is round on both ends and elevated in the middle...get it?..O-HI-O...yeah I know, THAT's an OLD one) basketball team DIDN'T "quite" make it as far in this year's "March Madness" as a certain OTHER school, situated in the confines of western Los Angeles has...I'm wondering what all this here BALLYHOO I'm hearing coming from you is ALL ABOUT???!!! Gee thanks  I remember when we visited when I was 12, we went down to the river-front to those huge steps/seats along the rivier, someone was firing water baloons into the crowd from a boat with a slingshot. Got to see the cops chase em by boat and everything! Bad boys bad boys. Love that show

but heck my aunt and uncle live in Ohio. Don't ask me where cos I ain't sure. I know they moved somewhere else for a couple of years but they moved back last autumn.

Well, I was reminded in today's paper about Mark Twain's famous line: "When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Cincinnati because it's always twenty years behind the times." I think it applies to most of O HI O.

Well, for what its worth and trust me this is not a political post....my most recent connection to Ohio was by phone.....20 long distance phone calls to Republicans on the Ohio roster just a few days before the 04 election. ... My own nickel....the list provided by the party. I like to think it helped.

A little help for Donna (Stormcloud) here: her home town is pronounced BUCKY-rus <chuckle> (She'll try to tell you it's bu-SIGH-rus, but don't believe her - grin.)
I may be the oldest Ohio member here (though overall, Simmer has me by a year or so), as I was born during WW2, the big one, in Fremont. Grew up in Tiffin. Left for Arizona in '65. Got dumb in the mid '70's and returned, but left for good in '77 and have been out here in the desert ever since.

NY State Laws
