Hey Ryan,
IF your gonna use this fender full time, a fender mounted plate would be ok.
BUT, being I'm VERY anal retentive
, I'd have to buy a dozen tag mounts, one for every "Fender of the day", and I'd be screwed on Commando Day, days I run with no fender at all.
As the pic's will illustrate, an axle mount plate eliminates the problem and expense of buying several mounts. (AND serves as my chain/sprocket guard.)
(I GUESS if I was really concerned about the money though, I'd leave the damn thing alone!
