I think hes got the right to a rebuttal/response. He's only trying to protect his business/reputation.

A mother passing away... yeah, that makes a few day away form the business ok in my book.
Long winded...maybe for some but he had to get the facts (his side of the story) out for all to understand.

As long as this doesn't turn into a pissing match I think its fair and acceptable on both parties side to state their facts and let everyone else decide to do or not do business.

Ive had a similar issue with a vendor and similar circumstances. I was pissed at first but once I learned why I let it go. Wasn't that vendors fault but they had to deal with some personal life stuff.
