I thought it would be a good idea to share my experience & a warning about Cyclecrafts.net..... On 1/30/12 I purchased their small beaded seat cover & small shearling seat cover online (hoping to have at last found a rememdy for summer monkey butt) from Cyclecrafts.net & even paid for expedited shipping (2 day). I anticipated deliery no later than 1/4/13 (owning to the New Year holiday. As of this morning (1/5/13) I have had no contact from Cyclecrafts.net (with the exception of my order confirmation & Paypal receipt at the time of the transaction) nor have I received the merchandise I ordered. Also, I tried to go to their website, and was unable to find/connect via Yahoo, Google, Facebook. So, it is very much looking like I'm out $75.00 for my lesson. I plan to call the phone numbers I have and try to find out where my purchased items are & when to expect delivery. So, my advice is don't do business with Cyclecrafts.net for ANY accessories you might be looking for. I'm sure there are more reputable companies out there....

As a follow-up to my previous post....I called the direct dial # I had for cyclecrafts.net and discovered that it was the former owners personal phone. Apparently he had sold the buisness to another bloke about 4 years ago. He advised me to try the 800#. I subsequently called the 800# for Cyclecrafts.net & spoke with the current owner & explained that had not yet received the merchadised ordered on 1/30/12. he advised me there had been a "death in the family" and would ship the merchandise Monday, 1/7/13. So....at this point I am still waiting to see how this developes....

I thought you could stop paypal from paying if the terms were not complied with. So you are saying they put the website down after you ordered from them? The domain owner is below. Good, Marcia mkgood@peoplepc.comCycle Crafts PO Box 106 Clinton, Ohio 44216-0106 United States (330) 855-5103

With buyer protection you get a refund from paypal if conditions are met. I( don't know if that applies outside Ebay.

My guess is the purchase date of "1/30/12" was a typo & the correct date was 12/30/12...

Yep, I typo'd that for sure....shoulda been 12/30/12... Also, I'm willing to see if I get delivery since I talked to the "new" owner before I put in the effort to recover my purchase cost/shipping via either Paypal or my CC account.
If I don't get delivery by 1/10/13 I'll take the necessary action.

I'd still be pissed, Karl. You paid for fast shipping and that didn't happen. Anyway, sorry for your troubles and I appreciate the 'heads up' on bum companies.

Yep Chris, I am a bit miffed about it but not really sweating bullets over the delay. It's not like I'll be riding any great distances anytime soon (maybe Friday if the weatherman is right). But I did receive the items purchased today. So all is good.... I would still recommend sourcing beaded & shearling seat covers from a different company none the less.

BonnevilleAmerica.com Karl Ehlers & Robert Wade,
I am writing to you in response to your posting on BonnevilleAmerica forum on Jan 5, 2013 about our company. Since I do not ride a Triumph and have not visited your site before, somehow I accidentally stumbled upon your post. I feel you have exaggerated your “story” because you didn't get your facts correct. I would like to respond to you factually since when I called, you stated to me that “my mothers funeral should not have interfered with business” and hung up on me. If I want to close my business for holidays or any other reason, I can do that.
I'm really sorry you believe you had such a bad experience with us and felt you had to share it with others.
First of all, you didn't order on 1/30/12 (making it seem like it has taken a year to get your products) it was Monday 12/31/12 New Year's Eve! Under normal circumstances we would have shipped Priority Mail on Wednesday Jan 2, and you would have received your order in 2-3 days (Fri 1-4 or Sat 1-5).
You did NOT pay extra for “2-day expedited shipping. We ship priority mail which will reach its destination in 2-3 days, but not guaranteed, and better service than first class handling.
Unfortunately, we were closed from Sunday, 12/30/12 through Sunday, Jan 6 for my mother's funeral out of state. We arrived back home Sunday night 1/6, and your order was shipped on Monday 1/7. Scheduled delivery was Wed 1/9 or Thurs 1/ 10. You received your order on Wed 1/9 so it actually took only 2 days to deliver and a total of 9 days from date of order, which includes 1 Sunday and 1 holiday. To me (and probably anybody else) this is a reasonable time frame. Any time I have ordered anything I have been quoted deliver in 7-10 days minimum and often times 10-14 days.
As for calling the wrong number, I'm not sure how you obtained the “direct number” you called since it is not on our website, but our “toll free” number is. That was not our fault, but your rantings made it somehow seem like it was. Who would call a toll number when a toll-free number is available??
I believe your post to “Beware” was unreasonable and unfair to our business. If we had not been a reputable company and been fair to our customers, we would not have been in business for the past 30 plus years. We purchased Cycle Crafts from the previous owners 10 years ago (not 4) and merged it with our existing company both of which have 30 plus years experience.
By using wrong dates and calling wrong numbers, your posting has portrayed a very poor biased picture to all of your “followers” as to how your order was handled. If you had a complaint, you should have called us!
I would very much appreciate it if you would remove your posting so that no further damage can be done.
Thank you for letting me set the record straight.

A little long-winded there Clide. Business slow? I think you could have made your point in far less time - with a simple explanation of your mothers passing (sincere condolences BTW), an apology and a query whether Karl is satisfied with his purchase. We're a good bunch around here and have a reputation for spending far too much on our bikes. No vendor (except eddy ) is perfect, so if you run a stand up company, we won't hold a grudge. Now it's my turn to complain; How about listing some dimensions for the soft sided coolers listed on your site?

Dang, Clide. Settle down. If you would have read through the thread, you would have saw that Karl corrected his typo on the dates ordered. I think your response was harsh and your attitude toward a customer makes me NOT want to do business with you. Maybe you could have contacted the purchaser(karl) to try and make things right with him, even though you were upset. Then you could have asked him to make right on the post and things could have been more civil for everybody. Times have changed and so has business dealings. It's a shame really.

I think hes got the right to a rebuttal/response. He's only trying to protect his business/reputation.
A mother passing away... yeah, that makes a few day away form the business ok in my book. Long winded...maybe for some but he had to get the facts (his side of the story) out for all to understand.
As long as this doesn't turn into a pissing match I think its fair and acceptable on both parties side to state their facts and let everyone else decide to do or not do business.
Ive had a similar issue with a vendor and similar circumstances. I was pissed at first but once I learned why I let it go. Wasn't that vendors fault but they had to deal with some personal life stuff.
Our bikes and stuff we buy for our bikes is important to us but can anyone say their bike is more important that family. I cant wont and never will.

Delays under that circumstance are understandable, but...
How long does it take to throw up a banner, or a message on the order screen, etc., explaining orders will be delayed while....
It's all about communication and expectations.

dude should have read ALL of Buffal0's posts, he owned up to the typo... meh, these mom and pop places take forever to ship and then they want to get their panties in a knot when they get called on it. heck i am having an issue with http://www.newspeedmaster.com/ dude shipped me the wrong throttle cables but dosen't want to pay up for the shipping to barnett...anywho, i know we have to depend on these small guys for parts; but i tend to side with the guy getting the shaft. this type of thing would never happen with fast eddy. i also find it odd that this guy just 'happened' upon the post...that smells funny too.

If I burnt bridges over every order on line that took over a week to get, I'd have left a LONG time ago!

I think back to a time when you ordered from a catalog (never knowing when a part would show up) or going to a dealer hoping he had the part. As a small business owner I bend over backwards to satisfy my clients but sometimes things get away from you. The internet has made our lives so damn easy to score what we want, track it's progress and raise a stink when something goes South (not a jab at the original post). The delays. lack of availability and small market that we have to deal with is because we are Triumph riders...I will trade a little inconvenience before I give up my bike and become part of the herd.
Ride like you mean it.

IF Buff "improved" his story with a falsehood or two, I think Clide should be excused for displaying some anger and verbosity. After all, it is the man's business and livelihood at stake. We should all be careful and circumspect. OTOH, Clide should be proactive and immediately post on his website any unscheduled closing of the business or delays and the reason why. It is the customer's time and money at stake, also. Raising expectations and then not meeting them stresses people out and will elicit some serious, even unreasonable, blowback.
Resentment is like taking poison and hoping the other guy dies.

I agree about being upset at some embellishments but I also agree that communication is the key. It doesn't take much to slap up a notice that business would be closed for a few days. I also agree that family should come first and a death in the family (especially mom) is more than ample excuse or reason for a short delay. In my case I know I would not have been nearly as angry had I not been lied to or had I not gotten rude responses. I also remember ordering from catalogs with no idea of turn around times.

with the exception of Eddy! (my man Eddy!) LOL i have run into small issues with just about all of the guys we buy stuff from, what i don't like is ordering something that is on their web and then waite two weeks, follow up and be told they have not carried it for a long time, and the thing is still on their site. Or, hey we are only two people we can't keep up!, uhm sorry, to bad if ya can't keep up hire someone, if you can't afford it then take the other two web pages down and focus on customer service and not gross product shipments. If you step into the arena of retail sales these days you have to be prepared to do what you promise make up for your mistakes fast, or close your doors. Someone else will be willing to fill your spot and maybe do it better..... ok thats my rant he he he

Thing with Eddy is he has great communication and customer service. I ordered from him one time that he didn't have the part and he called me right away and let me know. Another time he offered to pull a part off his bike to get me going. Another time he found the part I needed that he was sold out of and directed me where to get the part I needed to get back on the road. You can't beat customer service like that! I know others have similar stories of dealing with Eddy.
