OK, Four days to blast-off!

Plan A failed.

That was the plan that had John (My oldest son) riding the Honda that I was going to give him after the trip. Bent valves. This one will be sold as a parts bike.
Plan B is still on the burner. That's the plan where I rented a Sportster for him for the two weeks. But plan B ALSO calls for Steven (the younger son) to ride the Suzuki, WHICH IS STILL IN THE SHOP!!!

The mechanic said it should be ready tomorrow. Life will SUCK if something goes wrong there, cause I can't rent another bike on two days notice.
Plans are to leave Monday am., 5/6, be at the cabin in Hayesville, NC. Tues. PM, 5/7 (If we're not delayed due to Stevens health issues). Leave early Fri. am, 5/10 for Dahlonega, GA. till Sundays return to the cabin in the PM.
Then we've got till Fri. am., 5/17, to make that cabin the talk of the town!
Should be home (Orlando) Sat. evening, 5/18.
THEN I'll be able to relax!
Can I get a time & place to meet for Fridays ride? The On-line service is sketchy up in them hills! Last year we couldn't get on line. So this Sunday MAY be our last time on line.
Maybe you wouldn't mind PMin' me a phone line in case all else fails. (I promise I won't call for bail monies)
A blue line map of the rides would also help. John has less than a thousand miles on a road bike (lots of time on dirt bikes), so we won't be doing any "spirited" riding on the rental, at least IF I can prevent it. We would never think of slowing ANYBODY down from enjoying themselves, but IF we get too far behind, we'll know how to get back to Dahlonega. Our noses ain't good enough to just "follow the smell".

Maybe I should have left THAT comment out. (We could SOMEHOW get directions that end up with us in Alabama)

Peace!
