Recently took stock upper yoke assy and raisers off to remove the "scribe-like" corrosion under the varnish. Once sanded I realized the corrosion was really superficial. Now I wonder if it is a good idea to lacqer it again considering the corrosion would eventually appear again. I have noticed the alluminium is a bit easy to scratch, but I normally don't place anything on top of the yoke that could scratch the surface.

Any advice/ideas?

Thinking on protecting with Alodine 1001 will prevent further corrosion. There is no big change in colour (a bit of brown tan )
