No, I quit drinking and waking up next to fat chicks long ago.
* * * You had to know that was coming. * * *
I have run into a few wild hogs while out in the woods. They're not to be toyed with. And much faster than I expected.

A few years back a bunch of feral pigs were really tearing up the area where I hunt deer in season. So my hunting buds & I did a pig drive down @ Truman Lake to try to waste as many of the buggers we could. Out of the 10 of us on the drive only one was taken that day.
Since then several others have been taken during deer season....and now it seems they have moved out of the area. (little to no fresh rubs, or ruts)
They are tricky to nail down and in that neck o the woods seem mostly nocturnal. Too much like work to get the buggers if ya ask me.

Buddy of mine (who did a 5 month cross country ride with me in our youth) bow hunts hogs in North Florida and South Georgia, usually using a recurve. He's brought down some real beasts.

I just can't believe this is real. Photo looks "shopped" to me. But if it IS...

My friend had this long story about a fellow hunter who put an arrow into one of those beasts only to have it turn and charge him. Part of his escape included climbing over an old ruin wall.
Well, some of the others in the camp joined him to find the wounded animal and finish him off. They came across the wall he spoke of.
No matter how hard he tried he couldn't climb the wall again.

Never bring a bow and arrow to a gunfight.

Tom considers even using a compound bow akin to fishing with dynamite.
Just unseemly.

The pic is real but it was a domesticated pig sold to a game preserve according to Snopes.

He'd probably seen "Old Yeller".

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

The hard part is skinning one when ya get 'em home.

We usually bay the hog up then cut its throat. No guns except the dog owners. If ya own a couple of good red bone hounds ya dont want yahoos shooting them on accident.
