Sorry if this question was already raised (no match with the search engine). Is there any fisical or mechanical problem in mounting an '06 short slash cut America exhaust on a '10 EFI America?
Merry Xmas

Aren't the sensor bungs welded in on the header pipes, if EFI? And maybe a Cat. converter in the silencers? Not sure, I'm a carbed. rider. I'll go away now.

No problems. The short pipes don't have a cat (as others have already said) and will flow more freely, so you may need to re-map to the TORs map. This is available from your dealer at a fee (probably) or for free using TuneECU.

That's where they are on the EFI headers I have on mine.

When he said exhaust I thought whole exhaust not just the pipes. Some carbed bikes have cats in the exhaust too so probably not an issue. Short TORS?

Sorry, i used the word pipes loosely. I meant short TOR exhaust (mufflers) which don't have cats. And will flow more freely than the stock exhaust which will have cats.

Thanx all. It's a friend of mine wanting to install short mufflers (not TORS). Found a bargain but was not sure of applicability.

Just to be clear, your friend will still need the TORs map installed. Triumph only offer 2 maps options - stock and the TORs map which is also used for after market mufflers.

Hi Richard,
I was supposing the short slash cut had the same map as the stock ones, considering they are not "open" exhaust like the TORs. Just in case, I will tell my friend to download the TORs map and see results
Thanks

Its not about whether they are TOR mufflers. The greater flow in your 06 mufflers is because they will not have CATs inside them, whereas the stock mufflers do have CATs.
Triumph only have one map available for mufflers without CATs and that is the TORs map. That is why all mufflers (other than stock) require the TORs map.
