I never use a jack for an oil change, I just slide my pan under it with the kickstand on a block to put the bike close to vertical and wait until it isn't dripping any more oil at all. Then stand it up by hand to get any remainder out. Nothing in the way that way and no mess. I have a small stainless pan from a warming table I use to catch the oil but cutting the bottom off a plastic 5 gallon jug works well too.
