10,000 times hotter than tabasco. Should've had a tablespoon of sugar handy. I didn't see any tears, so he did good though.

There are no receptors in the tongue that detect "hotness". They can detect other flavors (sweet, sour, etc.) in the hot sauce but the actual "hotness' is detected by pain receptors. Super hot sauces are just causing pain.
FWIW I LOVE hot food. Just sayin'.

hahaha funny ,well done kiddo .come on dad match your kid and take a big bite come on wooosssy, do it do it do it  . i,m a huuuuuge hot sauce fan, currently my fav and the hottest sauce ive tried (and ive tried lots)is Spontaneous Combustion, and ive seen that burning face many times with that  .

Is it tolerance to pain or intolerance that sets the limit on the Scoville scale?

Brave kid ! I always thought milk was the stuff to have to help get rid of the pain ? This would be a great game to play with some friends. I'm surprised no-one in the USA had thought of this: Hell's Pizza "Pizza Roulette"
