well i spoke with british customs just to feel better about it and apparently they only need to be tight with blue locktight on the nuts, the O-ring inside does most of the work. I hate starting the bike when its -15 or so out, builds up condesation in the crank/white bubbles etc, not really sure why that is actually, but when i do fire it up i will spray check it with something and make sure i don't have any leaks.
