This first item for me:

Gift #1

And the second item I'll keep in my sock drawer in case I find a new "Mr. Right":

Gift #2 (to regift later)

Whoa! For a second there Cyn, I THOUGHT you said, "And the second item I'll keep in my sock drawer in case I NEVER find a new "Mr. Right!"

And so, for a second anyway, I THOUGHT I knew what that second "item" might be...and it WASN'T gonna be no wristwatch!!!

(...I guess THAT'LL teach me not to speed-read through these things, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Now that I think about it, my old '68 Bonneville used to vibrate a lot too.

I didn't think anyone else was left that knew how to work a fountain pen. I you need help with it, let me know.

I have to admit I destroy the nibs. I have a bad habit of over-gripping a pen and bearing down too hard on the page. It's as if I'm afraid the pen will shoot out of my hand and hit the ceiling if I don't keep a death grip on it . . . I do that with any pen, but it kills a fountain pen in seconds!

I get Levenger's catalogs occasionally. Just to look, my hand is not refined enough for anything more than a medium point Bic.

I know what you mean. I'm restricted to pencils, Sharpies and Pilot roller balls...but those fountain pens sure are pretty to look at.

If I thought there was even the slightest chance of a jolly old elf in a red suit swinging by my chimney I'd be asking for a Janus Halcyon 50 under my tree
