We've rented bikes at Eagle Rider two years in a row... Red Rocks is a great "warm up" ride to get to know the bike you are on....one year we did it in afternoon of the first day; this year we finished the day at Red Rocks after a longer journey to Mt. Charleston.

Eagle Rider has a good selection of bikes too...I was on a Harley Softail Heritage --- nice bike, but all it made me do is miss my America... But the folks there were excellent, and gave us a discount as returning customers this year.

Crossing the dam is fun, even if you just go across and return without stopping. We'd seen the dam already during another trip, so we just rode across with our other riding buddies --- it was very cool. ...then head off to Valley of Fire...it's a nice ride there --- we saw hardly any cars, and then nice hikes and some fun twisties inside the park. Great views of Lake Mead along the way. Take a detour here and there to one of the boat launches...
