Purchased a stereo from cruiser customizing a few months back. Worked fine but the clamps that held the speakers to the bars were chrome plastic and not really up to the job. Sure enough after a couple of months the right hand side speaker clamp broke. Contacted Cruiser customizing- no longer stocked and not really interested was the reply.
Contacted the manufacturer Big bike parts- got e-mail back saying that modified clamps had been designed and would be sent along with a new speaker as got scratched when clamp broke. Also thanked me for the feedback. Three weeks later the new clamps arrived with speaker and a letter apologising for the inconvenience- also would give me 15% discount off next purchase. As the unit was not an expensive model they certainly followed up well and I was impressed. Restores the faith a bit when you do get service such as this.

Betcha not keen on going back to Cruiser customizing though.

Good to know CC don't back up their products. I've got a fair bit of stuff from them over the years but was fortunate (it seems) not to have had a problem. I will think twice about using them again. They should realize the cost of bad publicity and how much we bikers share info. Short sighted of them considering they could have passed the cost along to the manufacturer.

Used them once with no trouble but after your experience Kent I'll be wary of using them again.
