White spaces? Really? If this is zazzle's quality then they should sod off.

at least the photo quality is improving, remember when some looked like crappy cell phone pics?

Wow, that's pretty bad.

I'm a MAC guy, but even so, I have to admit that Apple's printed photo albums and calendar are top notch.

That black with gold coach lines is just stunningly beautiful.

Do you suppose that they declined to edit the photos to fill the space as a nod to the submitter? When I was providing graphics for publicity and ads a few years back I had to customize each image in order to fill the given space; many cameras just aren't set up with their aspect ratios matching common paper sizes.

Unprofessional work by someone, probably the submitter who surely got to preview and approve the artwork. Shame to lessen the great pics and disappoint the proud owners.

In the preview shot I got it was a full page. I had to resize each photo. Do to the low resolution of some of the photos I was sent It was hard to enlarge them. All photos were pushed to 20 X 25 250dpi which was bigger than zazzle said they had to be. I guess they made them smaller to bring up the resolution.

Then Zazzle should either reprint correctly or refund.

I would ask the submitters to provide higher res or not use those pics.

Sorry zazzle let you down on this.

They do not print until ordered, and only a couple have been ordered.

I do this of the guys on here not to make any money. It has taken me years to get people to stop sending photos with people, gear in them. One year the best photo I got had 12 people just walking around in it. I took the time to remove all of them. I do the best I can with what you all send me. You have to remember these are just guys taking photos, none of them make a living with a camera.

Whitt, I know you put a lot of time into the calendar each year, and I appreciate it. I have a stack of years past that I'm deciding what to with with. My comment was solely based on the resolution of photo you receive. I know that crap pics blow up to still look like crap. I have always tried to send the highest quality files, because I know they are going to be bigger than 5x7.
Sorry if you feel like you are getting attacked here, I'm sure that's not the intent.

Ditto. Zazzle is who my post is directed at, NOT you Whitt. The white spaces are not a deal killer, just a cosmetic wart.

A big thanks to you and your mrs for compiling these calenders!

DANG!!!

I alone ordered a dozen last year.

Too bad ya didn't pick one of mine THIS year!

(not lyin', just teasin')

As a side note, I appreciate ALL you do too , BUT, I DO think it is really rude that you wouldn't respond to the submitters as to wether or not you even received their submissions, and they were in an acceptable format . I mean, how much trouble is it to respond with "yes", to a couple dozen members?

ALL from earlier posts in this thread;

I sent mine, BUT I haven't heard if you received them or not?

I'm in, a least I think they went.

We all THINK they went!

I'm guessin' NONE of us know for sure!??

Oh well.

Anyway, keep up the good work, And here's to next year.

(FAT CHANCE NOW, AY )

Peace!
