I'm gonna out on ANOTHER limb here Todd and say you're bein' a mite facetious, right?!

My point(in case you missed it) was not that the OVERALL style of the Gilera/MV Agusta racer was or is like the standard style CB750 or this beautiful newer CB1100, but that the across-the-frame 4-cylinder engine concept that has become known far and wide as the "Universal Japanese Motorcycle" actually sprung from the Italian peninsula and not the Japanese Islands.

(...and no slight at all was intended toward Japan Inc., who made and continue to make some of the best motorcycles in the world)
