Yeah, but that's one BIG motorcycle, ain't it?! (...or maybe it's just the picture here!)   I like how Honda seems to be going back to their classic old winged logo badges again. I think it looks sharp on that Gold Wing, and also on their beautifully retro-styled CB1100....which Honda has finally decided to send stateside this year.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

We spent a couple of days on a GW rental last month. It's a good machine, but I found it pretty darn uncomfortable particularly the lack of leg room.
Of course, coming from a Vision, nothing has leg room enough.
Bottom line, to me the GW had no soul.

The whole idea of a wing for me would be pillion comfort for the mrs. This new model lacks that. Big time. (Dwight: big eh?)

Part of the beauty of a cruiser or bagger is how the motor looks. This is part of the reason that Rockets don't sell like hotcakes, IMHO.

I like it. I have a buddy with a wing and he can go for days on that thing with no issue... ok, maybe not days but its pretty damn comfy. I also took a cornering class with him and not only can that thing get up and go it really can corner if ridden properly.
Looks to me like Honda is trying to find a middle ground age group bike for the wing. Start em on a cruiser, grow them into a "sporty" wing then retire them into a full blown wing.
