The people that own the majority of the shares in the companies that promote over eating and consumption could not give a flying fig about anyone but themselves. They just care about the $$$ (along with pension funds that own huge stakes in these companies) and as many have bought into the get rich dream those same people refuse to vote in laws that will protect them and their friends/relatives because maybe someday they will be rich and have to pay for the poor slob that they are now. Sorry folks the dream is selfish and very self orientated, you will probably not become rich and will need the help of society. Hopefully Mr. McCarthy really is dead although some people of a certain political persuasion in US would love him to come back to life.
