Could you elaborate what the Bomber Package includes? Are you still running the air box or did the package replace it with pod type air filters? If you are running the pods, you are probably lean. If not, you should be ok but your idle or pilot mixture adjustment screws might need to be richened. You probably will need to shim your needles also or switch to TBS needles.
I'm running (here's the script) a standard airbox with no snorkels, a Uni air filter and an opened up filter retainer plate. On the exhaust, straight through long TORs. I currently have 135 mains, 42 pilots, TBS needles and the idle/pilot mixture screws are out almost 3 turns. Bike runs extremely well with the plugs a little tan in colour.
Another idea to get rid of the popping on decal is to disconnect the TPS sensor on the carb. Don't remove it from the carb, just unplug it (easier said than done). This has been done by dozens of the gang with no ill effects.
