OK , all hooked up and this is my official result in the professional chart below.

At idle I gained 1.4 volts and 0.5 volts across the RPM range.
The new R/R was too big to mount on the existing bracket, so I had to drill and tap 1/4" holes and mount under the big squarish frame box, it will act as a heat sink there. Abandoned the stock wiring, mainlined the + and - to the battery, followed the three yellow stator wires to a three prong plug and that snapped into the three wire plug from the new R/R.
I think it was worth the time and money, since I can't work yet, I had plenty of time to fiddle with my girl.
