Yes the voltage will drop approx half a volt at high revs. I assume you did the wiring mod and not the MOSFET R/R as well. In which case your results are as expected. The MOSFET should give about half a volt more results.

Your 'before' reading at idle doesn't seem right - 4.2v at idle is extremely high especially considering the other 'before' readings.
